Carole's Radio Appearances

Carole appeared in over 70 known radio broadcasts.

Here is a brief history of Old Time Radio: There used to be 4 main radio networks!  NBC (National Broadcasting Company) had two networks Red and Blue--the New York stations they owned were WEAF and WJZ respectively.  CBS (Columbia Broadcasting Company) owned a New York station with call letters WABC.  The Mutual Broadcasting System was the smallest, fourth, network and was owned by New York station WOR--instead of the Network owning the station!  The US Government forced NBC to sell the Blue Network June 14, 1945--this became ABC (American Broadcasting Company).  To avoid confusion with the ABC network, CBS changed WABC's call letters to WCBS on November 2, 1946.
